DISCUSSION WITH SUPERVISOR ( Week 5 )

Activity : Student meet and discuss about the project with supervisor.

Objective : To seek advice and opinions from supervisor in order to help student with FYP 2.

Content/Procedure :

1) Student meet with supervisor in her office.

2) Student state the problems he facing which is the coding and components ( TFT and R301T fingerprint sensor ). This including the pricing and availability of the component itself. Supervisor give her opinions and advice to student.

Result & Analysis :

1) As the components ( TFT and R301T fingerprint sensor ) is hard to obtain, supervisor advise student to replace the sensor with radio frequency identification ( RFID ) and TFT with normal LCD display.

2) This can help to cut the cost and ease the coding process. Besides that the component also is easy to be purchased.

Conclusion : As conclusion, student manage to solve the lingering problem. Student need to change the tittle of the project into The Development of RFID Attendance System using Arduino after getting supervisor approval. Student need to find new information about RFID in order to ease student complete this new project. Last but not least, student need to change the content of the previous FYP1 report.
